I kept a long weekend, and what a nice weekend it was :)
Saw Tamminiemi, went to Turku to see Mikael, grilled in Aurinkolahti, saw Hietaniemi cemetary and finally had a hike in Uutela. -And all this in great company!
Btw: our companys official 'lähiökuppila' Luna has been mentioned in City-magazine. -Along with the next place I try to check, La Place..

Fring - VoIP calls and instant messaging
Today I saw a little text on the contact list of my messenger; www.fring.com.
-By far this is the most perfectly quided installation of any service for multimedia phones.
You should try it just to see the installation. But after half an hour use, it's really great. It really brings your Skype and Messenger in to your pocket. And the application even stays on, unlike Nokias own applications.
-Try it, probably you love it :D

Pizza-bar
If you are in need of pizza in area of Rantavitikka or Viirinkangas, your natural choice should be pizza-bar next to Lillin-pubi in Viirinkangas.
You can order the pizza in net, but that's just starters. This little bar has a Canal+ channels and is equipped with wireless network which works more certainly than the one in the university, has printer, fax and even paper for those :D -And on top of the good service, the 12-pack of beer is cheaper than in Prisma!
My favorite is kebab-pizza, it beats even the reindeer-pizza in Railwaystation. There's loads of sweet pepper and jalapeno, quite light and juicy.

Valo yössä
I'm not much of a music person. Only thing what I can really tell about music is that if I like it or not. -And sometimes some weird anecdotes..
Anyway I ended up into YouTube and there was a killer song from VilleValo. 'Valo yössä', which was originally made by Tuomari Nurmio ja Köyhien Ystävät.
But have you ever thought about why The light on the roof of the taxi is blinking..?

Nokia - Only Planet
Exactly one week ago we started a little christmas party in restaurant Motti in Helsinki. There was people from all around the world (South America, India, Japan, Poland) presenting their Only Planet projects. Lot's of work had to be done before the presentations and our work still continues until next week.
Event was great, as was most of the week! Group also visited also Rovaniemi and we also had a chance to enjoy finnish sauna. -And I guess it was a kind of proof that industrial designers are curious and open minded because almost all attended to sauna and seemed even to enjoy that :D
I promised to send some photographs for several people, and I will. If not this weekend, anyway in near future.. It was a pleasure to get to know you all. -Take care of yourselves, where ever you are! :)

We often talk about Wow!-feeling. Somehow I think that for a professional, experiencing a Wow ! is more that just a Wow. -Maybe one starts to be so cynical..
Anyway, Flickr probably gives you one of those Wows. There has been a need to use your hundreds digipics somehow - not just collecting those. Flickr is a nice way to publish your pics and much more.
The thing about the Flickr is open API (application programming interface). And almost all the things you can imagine has been done. -My personal favorite of the tools is Retrievr, just sketch the pic, and Flickr will find it to you! =D

Jade Warrior - Jadesoturi
Yesterday I saw Finnish-Chinese co production Jade Warrior, which includes legends from Finnish and Chinese cultures.
Movie was great, dont get me wrong.. ..but I still have to wonder do they teach the progress of drama at all in Finnish Movie scene..?
The plot didn't thicken and it didn't peak. -It was just like in Kaurismäki movies. Even one of the three main caracters was Markku Peltola, 'Kaurismäki' written all over his face ;)
But there was an explanation for all of this. -One of the writers has been responsible for the Suomen Elokuvasäätiö's production donations. -And I quess Kaurismäki movies have been their favorite :D
